Jump the Shark and Sera Mermaid began as me putting together a test of the process of making a kids’ book using Amazon KDP. To that end, I wasn’t trying to accomplish anything special or deep. I was just trying to make something I would have fun reading to my kid, and my kid would have fun listening to.
The first book is just a no-excuses quick adventure. Villain kidnaps hero. Hero learns the error of his ways, fights villain. The second gets into deeper waters, as our heroes spare a Pirate Princess, and she promptly steals the Pearl of McGuffin.
